ARTIST’S STATEMENT
I am grateful that I’ve had the opportunity to express and interpret life in its color, form and light. As a painter, I search for the beauty of life through an aesthetic as well as an intellectual viewpoint. I try to capture the true emotionality of my subject, through study and as much familiarity as I can.
For me, my paintings demonstrate an effort toward deep appreciation and respect for the power of realism and the resulting truth and perspective of beauty. The forces of light and shadow in my work enable me to express the wonder and excitement of reality.
